Die Öffentlichkeitsbeteiligung zum GRÜNGÜRTEL Parkstadt Süd

In the organizer's words:

The "GRÜNGÜRTEL Parkstadt Süd" will complete Cologne's inner green belt between Rudolf-Amelunxen-Straße and the banks of the Rhine and create a new park.

Neighboring districts such as Neustadt Süd, Bayenthal, Raderberg and Zollstock and their residents will be connected to the new park, as will the new quarters of Parkstadt Süd. The aim is to create attractive places to play and exercise, as well as appealing areas to meet and hang out, picnic and relax.

Work on the design planning was driven forward on the basis of initial public participation in 2022. Now, in a second round, people who were not reached in the 2022 public participation are to be specifically addressed.

An online dialog and various on-site formats are planned for this purpose. The evaluation of the feedback will help to understand which user groups with different needs will one day use the planned park. The survey will also be used to identify potential conflicts between different uses in the existing inner green belt.
