Who are we amidst our cultures, our identities? In what we and others expect of us? In “The Youngest Daughter,” Fatima Daas takes us into her world between cultures. She shares with us the experiences she has as a queer, Muslim woman of Algerian descent living in a “white” country. How she comes to terms with herself, reconciling her religion and sexuality. How she finds her own unique identity. Fatima’s story is brought to life and woven together by the ensemble on stage. The result is a complex portrait of identity that tells not just a single story, but as many stories as possible. A production directed by Len Ghandour with a BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) team and ensemble.
