Symphonic Safari
As the sun rises over the savanna and Rafiki’s call rings out, a special concert evening begins. The Lion King – Live in Concert moves the audience not only through the music of Sir Elton John and Hans Zimmer. Around 80 performers from the Cinema Festival Symphonics also give the audience goosebumps. They provide the rich, full sound that, combined with the animations on the screen, makes the familiar film melodies shine anew.
Famous Film Music
African rhythms combined with epic melodies: The Oscar-winning soundtrack by film music legend Hans Zimmer has defined the globally successful animated film The Lion King for nearly 30 years now. Together with the timeless hits by Sir Elton John, this forms the foundation for *The Lion King – Live in Concert*. And whether it’s “Hakuna Matata,” “The Circle of Life,” or “Is This Really Love?”: the beautiful voices of the choir and the soloists breathe life into Simba, Nala, and other well-known characters. The live orchestra is also right in the thick of the action on stage.
Captivating Sound
All members of the Cinema Festival Symphonics sing and play under the direction of Stephen Ellery from London. Together, they have already thrilled audiences with concert performances of the soundtracks to *Game of Thrones*, *Star Wars*, and *Harry Potter*. The ensemble is known for its faithful, powerful sound. The concert is complemented by artistic animations on the screen.
