Daniel Benyamin has been mixing different genres since he was a child. He adored the melancholy side of J.S. Bach as well as secret wave-punk bands that were banned at home. At the age of 12, he discovered multi-track recording by chance on a faulty cassette recorder and used it to compose the music he was not allowed to listen to. This creative bipolarity is never more evident than on his second album as Daniel Benyamin: "Life After Music", which the creative head of Sea + Air and Jumbo Jet released on Ghost Palace Records/Cargo in May 2026. The album playfully travels from one pole to the other: opulent and reduced at the same time, it is as catchy as it is atmospheric and draws on his dance and film soundtracks of recent years.
Since leaving school and home at 17, Daniel Benyamin has performed his art in over 2000 concerts in 35 countries. Hundreds of published songs and compositions later, Daniel Benyamin ventured a new start as a solo artist in 2022. His greatest success is that he reflects himself completely unadulterated in his music, detached from the mainstream and expectations. Fragility, great songwriting and energetic rhythms, performed by analog instruments and, above all, his uniquely emotional voice, create a musical cosmos that Daniel Benyamin calls "Ghost Pop".
