In the mood for a movie? We invite you to a free movie night at LIFE HAMBURG once a month!

Together with LAG Jugend und Film Hamburg, we’re launching a series of captivating movie nights. From exciting documentaries to gripping feature films, we’ve got it all—we want to explore current issues, shed light on political and cultural dimensions, and turn the movie night into a shared experience. Let our film selection inspire, surprise, and—above all—delight you!

Along with the film, we’ll offer additional activities for discussion and conversation, as well as opportunities to try things out and get creative. The Community Cinema is for people ages 16 and up; there’s also a program for children and families (see below).

Admission is free, but registration is requested. Last-minute guests are welcome to join us spontaneously.

The Community Cinema takes place on the following days:

Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – ages 16 and up
Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – ages 16 and up
Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – For children & families

The Hamburg State Working Group on Youth and Film represents the interests of the Federal Association for Youth and Film (Bundesverband Jugend und Film e.V.) at the local level. Its members include filmmakers, screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, media educators, media facilitators, and many other fascinating people from the film industry.
