With his unmistakable baritone voice and stage presence, Chali 2na is one of the most distinctive personalities in hip-hop. As a founding member of the legendary groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, he has left a lasting mark on the musical landscape.

Chali 2na - real name Charles Stewart - is more than just an MC. Born in Chicago, he moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and merged two worlds early on: hip-hop and graffiti. What began as a creative exploration on the streets developed into a career that combines music and visual art in a unique way. His deep, powerful voice became the trademark of Jurassic 5, whose albums such as "Quality Control" (2000) and "Power in Numbers" (2002) became milestones in alternative hip-hop. He toured the world with Jurassic 5, including as support for the Beastie Boys.

At the same time, Chali 2na was a founding member of Ozomatli, the Latin funk-hip-hop fusion band that won a Grammy for "Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album" with their self-titled debut album (1998). He also remained successful as a solo artist: his debut album "Fish Outta Water" (2009) featured Anthony Hamilton, Damian Marley, Beenie Man and Talib Kweli, among others. He has also collaborated with the likes of Linkin Park, The Roots, Gorillaz, Funkmaster Flex and Cut Chemist.

In recent years, he has dedicated himself to the ambitious multimedia project "Against the Current" - a five-part EP series, accompanied by a coffee-table art book with his own paintings, drawings and photographs. The work shows an artist who has long been at home not only on stage, but also on canvas.

Chali 2na is bringing along a top-class line-up for his two German shows: He will be joined by DJ A-Skillz, one of the most sought-after turntablists in the hip-hop scene, as well as his long-standing band House of Vibe, who will make his performance an unforgettable experience with live beats, basslines and drums.
