The musical journey of Berlin guitarist Micha Schillings and his Ruhrpott partner Thorsten Töpp goes back to the early 1980s. The two have developed a complex, densely interlocked style that combines noise with harmonic processes and rhythmic tensions. The idiosyncratic yet clearly defined soundscapes are perfectly complemented by the bubbling, energetic sounds of Essen drummers Simon Camatta and Patrick Hengst. A trip, wild, polyphonic, yet controlled and always to the point.
