Bürgerfest Kleinzschocher – Beginn des Kultursommers

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the Kleinzschocher citizens' initiative invites you to the district festival for the 12th time. It begins with entertaining music by Andreas Leipold from the Leipzig Guitar School on the ukulele, followed by the Tremolo Music School, the choir of the Academy of Visual Arts, the duo Filine & Jonas with voice and piano and the closing band Lipsi Tight. Meanwhile, the paper theater ZSCHO and the show and puppeteer Johann Raphael Boehncke will enchant the guests with "NILS HOLGERSSON and Smirre the Fox" with two performances each for young and old, the association Families in the Center offers games and glitter tattoos, the Leutzscher Füchse provide excitement with table tennis and guided tours of the church tower are also offered again. For the older ones, there will be a reading by Michael-Alexander Lauter from his book "In unruhigen Zeiten", organized and moderated by Lixer e.V.. With flea market, information and craft stalls, there is something for everyone. Food and drink will also be provided with coffee and cake, and later with barbecued food and cold drinks.

To showcase the variety of leisure activities on offer in Kleinzschocher, the Kleinzschocher Summer of Culture brings together all the events in the district, from art and culture to sport, games and fun.
The cultural summer starts with the citizens' festival and ends with the performance of J. S. Bach's peasant cantata on August 30 to mark the 284th anniversary of the first performance in Kleinzschocher. The program will soon be available at https://kleinzschocher-leipzig.de and www.biklz.de.
