Brazilian Zouk in Freiburg – Dance, Learn, and Meet New People

Would you like to learn to dance in Freiburg, improve your Brazilian Zouk skills, or meet new people? Then you’re welcome to join our dance classes.

Brazilian Zouk is a smooth, flowing partner dance from Brazil. It’s not just about steps and figures—it’s about the music, learning together, and the joy of dancing with others.

You don’t need to know anyone in the group yet, and you don’t need a regular dance partner. Many people come alone. During class, we switch dance partners regularly so you can easily dance with different people and get to know our community.

Maybe you’ll discover not only a new hobby, but also a place in Freiburg where you can quickly feel comfortable and at home.

Is Basic 2 the right class for you?

Basic 2 is not a beginner’s course for absolute Zouk beginners. You can join if you already have some prior experience with Brazilian Zouk and know the basic steps.

The course is also the perfect next step if you’ve already taken our Quickstarter and learned the most important fundamentals there.

If you want to learn Brazilian Zouk from scratch, our Quickstarter for Beginners is the right place to start.

Here’s what to expect

• 6:00–7:30 p.m. — Basic 2
• 7:30–8:00 p.m. — Open Social Dance, open to everyone
• 8:00–10:00 p.m. — Intermediate / Advanced

The Open Social Dance between the two classes is a relaxed opportunity to practice together, meet new people, and just dance to the music.

For the Intermediate/Advanced class, you should already have solid experience with zouk.

• Basic 2 — 25 €
• Intermediate / Advanced — 30 €
• Combo for both classes — 45 €
• Open Social Dance — free

Tickets and limited seating

Important: There is a fee for the dance classes. Only the Open Social Dance is free.

We intentionally keep our class size small, with a maximum of ten couples in total.

Registering on this platform does not reserve a spot in the class and does not replace a class ticket. You can purchase your ticket through our ticket shop.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Questions are always welcome—we learn together and support one another.

During the event, we’ll guide you through the lessons. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable, learn something new, and have a great time on the dance floor with others.

Registration and Other Offerings

In addition to our regular dance classes, A&F in Freiburg also offers Quickstarters, workshops, boot camps, private lessons, and our “6 Hours of Brazilian Zouk – Intensive Group Private Classes” with modules 1 through 6.

To participate, book your ticket in advance and choose whether you’d like to be a leader or a follower.
