In the organizer's words:
City Hall Clubbing – City Hall as the City’s Stage
“Rathausclubbing—City Hall as the City’s Stage” is a project of the Bochum Strategy aimed at establishing City Hall as a venue for a variety of events on the city’s cultural calendar and, in this way, further opening it up to citizens.
Block Party Summer Edition by Cypher 44 e. V. July 18 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Afro-House, R&B, and good vibes right in the heart of downtown: On Saturday, July 18, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Rathausclubbing invites you to the Block Party Summer Edition on the City Hall forecourt at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Rathausclubbing is a project of the Bochum Strategy, organized by Bochum Marketing in cooperation with the City of Bochum’s Cultural Office; the Block Party is presented by Cypher 44. Free admission.
The program features three DJ sets that draw on various influences of urban culture, as well as dance performances by the Cypher 44 dance school. Food and drinks will be available, and a small designer urban market will provide a platform for local artists and small businesses from Bochum to showcase their products and projects.
The block party also invites everyone to get involved: Anyone who wants to can design and print their own T-shirt on-site or capture the day at a photo booth. This transforms the town hall plaza into an open meeting place that brings Bochum’s creative and cultural diversity to life, while bringing together people from different generations and communities. At the same time, the festival offers young people in particular easy access to art, music, and urban culture right in their own neighborhood.
