No, Ersatzkopf is a band. On their albums—all of which have titles like “Something-with-Awesome”—razor-sharp guitar riffs pair with groovy basslines and driving drums. But it’s the perfect blend of powerful music and expressive lyrics that makes Ersatzkopf so unique in the German music scene. Songs like “Police Violence” or “Screwed Up My Studies Because of Weed” showcase their profound complexity. Their orbital smash hit “Vomit Everywhere”—which revolves around a chase with aliens—is a real showstopper.
