Lace up your roller skates and enjoy some retro beats: On July 10 and 11, the Düsseldorf Arcaden are bringing the charm of the ’90s and 2000s to Bilk with “Bilk ist auf der Rolle” from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The program ranges from fast-paced laps on the roller rink to refreshing drinks at the cocktail bar, as well as classic games and creative hands-on activities. Both indoors and outdoors, a varied program for the whole family will delight visitors with the flair of past decades.

Roll, dance, celebrate—it’s all happening outside

On the plaza in front of the Düsseldorf Arcaden, a roller rink invites visitors to take some speedy laps on wheels. If you don’t have your own pair of roller skates, you can rent them for free on site. If those old treasures are still sitting in the basement, it’s time to dust them off. After skating, visitors can swap their skates for a cool drink at the cocktail bar. Plus, a DJ will keep the open-air atmosphere lively.

A Retro Vibe Throughout the Center

Inside the Düsseldorf Arcaden, the journey through time continues: On the ground floor in front of New Yorker, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of old video games at the Retro Games Lounge with Nintendo classics and a Pac-Man arcade machine—pure nostalgia for anyone who lived through that era, and a journey of discovery for everyone else. Anyone who wants to capture this feeling will find the perfect backdrop for a souvenir photo at the Retro Photo Point in the basement, across from dm-drogerie markt. In addition, a colorful squishy craft station awaits young guests on the upper floor in front of Deichmann. There, they can design their own stress balls and take them home as souvenirs.
