An event organizer recently said: "For me, the old year is only ever over when Bernd Gieseking has looked back on it on my stage!" Gieseking has been on the road with this special program for 33 years now. He is a cabaret artist and writer, a gifted storyteller, but also a precise satirist and a master of comedy.

Throughout the year, Gieseking keeps a record, takes notes, analyzes and comments. The result is 90 minutes of political cabaret, but not just that. It is a unique mixture of big politics and personal experiences, with self-deprecating reflections alongside found objects. He finds apparent trifles and makes them big and unforgettable. Gieseking writes from January to December and chooses a face of the month, sometimes as a tribute, sometimes as an accusation. The audience can once again look forward to his columns: the legendary phone calls from various politicians ("Klingeling"), once again comments on Konfusion, the great East Westphalian sage, once again Gieseking was in his favorite pub "Fischlounge" in a ludicrous dispute with landlord Herbert and regular guest and poet Karl.

Politics, society and culture, the media and the press provide him with the cues for linguistic wit and comedy, for grotesque logic and playful nonsense. And once again, Gieseking is the reliable chronicler in the chaos of the times. Off you go!
