Here's how the workshop works:

1. Getting to Know Each Other & Setting Expectations
We’ll start by getting to know each other and talking about your coffee experiences, preferences, and goals. Whether you’re a beginner or an ambitious home barista, together we’ll decide which topics should be the main focus of the workshop.

2. The Basics of Good Coffee
Before we get to the machine, we’ll explore the most important factors for making great coffee. You’ll learn how bean quality, grind size, water, and extraction influence the flavor—and what really matters when it comes to brewing.

3. Hands-On Practice – Espresso & Milk-Based Drinks
Now it’s time to get hands-on: Together, we’ll work with the espresso machine and analyze the individual steps of a successful espresso preparation. This includes grind size, dosing, tamping, and extraction. Afterward, we’ll focus on milk texture and the preparation of popular drinks like cappuccino, flat white, and latte macchiato.

4. Tasting, Understanding & Optimizing
To wrap things up, we’ll taste the coffees we’ve prepared together and discuss common pitfalls as well as ways to improve. The goal is to apply what you’ve learned directly to your daily routine and develop a deeper understanding of coffee and its preparation.

The workshop is designed for coffee lovers, home baristas, groups, and companies looking to deepen their knowledge of espresso and coffee. The content is tailored to the group and taught in a practical, hands-on way—clear, interactive, and with plenty of time for questions.

You don’t need to bring anything. Everything you need will be provided.
