Brief Description
BachBewegt! Singen! once again focuses on group singing by elementary school children: Over several months, school classes work together with their teachers to develop a program centered on Antonio Vivaldi’s famous Gloria RV 589. A team from the Bach Academy accompanies the rehearsals in the schools, combining foundational musical training with the experience of being part of something bigger. The highlight is the final concert at the Liederhalle, where all the children perform on stage together with the Gaechinger Cantorey. In addition to excerpts from Vivaldi’s Gloria, the program features an arrangement by Karsten Gundermann that distills the soundscape of the original and presents it in a new context. Thus, the intensive rehearsal process culminates in a festive family concert—driven by a sense of community, artistic expression, and the courage to express oneself through one’s own voice.
