Classical music meets Italian temperament: on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, the Dresden Organ Cycle invites you to an extraordinary concert in the Kreuzkirche Dresden at 20:00. Under the theme "Bach & Italy", renowned organist Arno Hartmann (Bochum) will shed light on the musical interplay between German counterpoint and Italian sensuality. At 7:19 pm, the format "Under the Floor Lamp" sets the mood for the evening with organ wine and conversation.

The program celebrates the timeless classical music of Johann Sebastian Bach, including the virtuoso Toccata, Adagio et Fuga in C (BWV 564) and the Corelli Fugue (BWV 579). How vividly Bach's legacy shaped Italian modernism is demonstrated by gripping organ arrangements by Bossi and Ghielmi as well as the rarely heard "Tre pezzi" by Wolf-Ferrari.
