Not just any place you can find on a map, but a city that takes shape in your mind when memory, longing, and the present briefly converge. On “Meine Stadt,” you’ll hear hip-hop drums, guitars, indie melodies, and beats that refuse to be too polished. bac clearly comes from a rap background, but his horizons have long since broadened. For a long time, he wasn’t really into guitar music. Then British indie—the Arctic Monkeys, Blur, and Passion Pit—came along.
