Austrofred - Neues aus dem Kompetenzzentrum

Austrofred is a man for whom superlatives come one after another. He is considered one of Europe’s best Freddie Mercury impersonators, a reviver of Austropop, and, above all, “the most dashing Austrian of all time” (quote from a concertgoer). But it’s not just his Queen covers—his literary work is also of fundamental significance and is considered required reading for any intellectual, for here is a writer who has seen something of the world and can therefore rightly claim to understand a few things a little better than other people. Now, we know the champion for his flawless shows, which he crafts with a team of choreographers and producers at his center of excellence in Vienna. But perfection isn’t just overrated—it’s also incredibly hard to achieve. That’s why this resourceful Austropop chameleon has now put together—or rather, NOT put together—this evening, where he’ll casually read from his seven books to date, as well as from his MUH columns and other written works, plus whatever’s currently rolling around on his desk. For the audience, this offers a unique opportunity to watch a brilliant artist at work—so to speak—as he creates. Mr. Austrofred, how do you do it?
