AUFNAHMEZUSTAND

As part of the 9th Hamburg Photography Triennial, this workshop—in collaboration with photographer and artist André Lützen—explores the diverse manifestations of reflections in urban spaces. Through photographic experiments and reflective materials, participants will explore new perspectives on their surroundings and use these to develop their own photographic series. They will experiment with mirrors, reflective films, and other reflective materials to rediscover shapes, spaces, and angles. At the same time, the focus turns to the city itself: storefronts, facades, bodies of water, and shiny surfaces become natural image carriers that reveal hidden structures and open up new photographic possibilities. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro: All you need is a camera or a smartphone and a love of photography. André Lützen, born in Hamburg in 1963, studied visual communication at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and at the International Center of Photography in New York. In addition to numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the U.S., his focus is on personal documentary photography. Participation fee: 26 € plus admission. Please bring a camera or smartphone, weatherproof clothing, and your own snacks. Cameras can also be rented on site.
