In the organizer's words:
As part of the harbor walk, we are creating an audiovisual experience for all visitors. Oscilloscope Music combines science, music, and visual art into an audiovisual experience in which sounds generate images and visual forms influence sound. Audio signals directly control horizontal and vertical image axes and coalesce into a complex interplay of sound, movement, and light.
