ALTSTADT LIVE

FromSeptember 23 to 26, 2026, Düsseldorf’s Old Town will once again be transformed into a decentralized festival space for music, culture, and socializing. Following its successful debut last year,“Altstadt Live”returns to bring together clubs, bars, collectives, cultural venues, and local organizers.

Over four days, musical discovery routes will wind through the Old Town—from established cultural venues to small bars, cafés, and unique off-spaces. The festival highlights the diversity of Düsseldorf’s music scene and showcases just how vibrant and varied the city’s cultural networks are.

The program is independently curated by the participating organizations and ranges from jazz and experimental formats to local artists and new sounds. Early highlights includeWP8 goes Retematäng, thejazz slam poetry night at Em Pöötzke,Secret Sounds at Stadtstrand,Callshop Radio at Rösterei Vier, and performances byThunder Bae and Julika at Ratinger Hof.

Altstadt Live does not see itself as competition to existing offerings, but rather as a platform that brings together the diverse voices of Düsseldorf’s cultural scene and fosters new connections.
