A performative plein air painting project, conceived for the historic Kálvária Round Building of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, where it was exhibited on October 13, 2025. On October 3, 2025, thirty-seven painters gathered in a large circle on the lawn of the József Somogy Artists’ Colony in Tihany, Hungary. Each person painted the back of the head of the person sitting in front of them, while the sun moved across the sky and those seated gradually shifted their positions.
The participating artists were students or instructors from the classes of Mária Chilf (Budapest), Anke Doberauer (Munich), and Ioana Popa (Cluj-Napoca). The photography students of Łukasz Skąpski (Szczecin) documented the performance.
