Afrika Festival Böblingen

From July 31 to August 2, Elbenplatz will be transformed for the sixth time into an African festival stage right in the heart of Böblingen—with free admission.

For three days, you can look forward to:
– Live music from Senegal, Madagascar, and Kenya
– Stilt walking and percussion by SAMNAS
– Sand painting by Ibra Sow, aka Galseneart
– A bazaar featuring African handicrafts

The highlights: On Friday evening, Eusébia from Madagascar will get Elbenplatz dancing; on Saturday, the trio Rema Diop will give you goosebumps—the singer has already toured with Youssou N’Dour. Plus, Latin Spirit with salsa vibes on Saturday night and the quintet Nina Ogot from Kenya to wrap things up on Sunday. DJ Seleckta Adi will be there every day.
