She is one of Lebanon’s most prominent artists: Abeer Nehme. With her powerful voice, the singer from Tannourine El Tahta will open the Grand Hall as part of the “Lebanon” festival for a musical journey through the cultures of the Middle East. In various languages—from Arabic to Aramaic to Armenian—she tells stories of love, home, and new beginnings. Accompanied by a 16-piece ensemble and four backup singers, she moves effortlessly between classical Arabic music and Western modernism: Classical songs alternate with modern arrangements; traditional melodies meet orchestral power; and intimate moments give way to captivating choreography for the ears.
