1. Mondtreff

In the organizer's words:

The Mondtreff is a meeting place that invites people to linger and further develops the existing format of the Wanne Moon Nights as an enjoyable city festival.

The Wanne Moon Nights at Buschmannshof in Wanne-Mitte are getting a spin-off for the first time: the Moon Meeting. This year would have been the 22nd edition (first WMN in 2003), so it is in the nature of things that formats change over such a long period of time in order to remain attractive to the public.

Stadtmarketing Herne is making the popular open-air event more relaxed and focusing more on food, drink and socializing. A city festival with the character of an after-work market. Carib and local heroes Los Gerlachos provide the musical highlights. Otherwise, visitors can expect a relaxed atmosphere with subdued music from a curated playlist that leaves room for conversation. Covered areas ensure that guests are protected in bad weather. Our giant inflatable astronaut will be back, accompanied by our new moon.

Children and young people can look forward to games and hands-on activities.
