In the organizer's words:
"First our jobs, then your profits"
Among other things, those responsible are speaking out against the abolition of the 8-hour working day. Longer working hours are not negotiable, according to the DGB.
The trade union federation is also calling for a secure pension and opposes cuts to the welfare state. In view of rising prices, politicians must provide tangible relief.
The trade unions will meet at the DGB building at 10:30 a.m. and set off with the demonstration from 11 a.m. onwards. The rally will begin at Johannes-Rau-Platz at 12 noon.
The family festival will begin there at 1 pm.
