For Markus Laymann, the art of magic is the "art of enlightenment" - which is why he is very interested in the psychological and philosophical aspects of the art of deception as well as the technical tricks. His magic programs are more cabaret-like and cheeky than mystical and magical. In times in which there are no more miracles for the enlightened spectator, entertainment is the main focus for Markus Laymann: to make the audience laugh or think and surprise them.
